Thick clumps of rich grassy foliage at 2' are followed in September through November by puffy, rosy-purple upright blooms at 3 1/2’; they become cinnamon-colored for the winter months. The strong vertical line complements other grasses with arching habits, as well as many flowering perennials. Looks great in small groups, handles moist, but well-drained soil, and will tolerate some shade quite happily. Plant 24-30” apart.
