The grill top is made from thin aluminum which is not a dish washer safe material. This makes it a bit difficult to clean as the "vents" are raised and you have lots of crevices to clean. I found soaking for a couple of hours and scrubbing with a tooth brush worked well.The body of the grill is cast aluminum and it is far from precision/ high quality. The bottom plate that goes under the coals is steel. Overall it is very light.The grill heats well and cooks the meat quickly. The juices run down into the "soup" area. I found unsalted beef soup is great and season the top with bacon fat. The soup will condense down and become a very rich soup. If you use salted soup it will be too salty.Be careful of the surface you put the grill on. It does have 4 legs, but they will get quite hot and this could leave burn marks in wood or melt plastic.Shipping is from Thailand and it arrived in about 3 weeks, well ahead of the predicted date. The box was in pretty rough shape, but the grill was fine.It is a perfect size for 2 people with a maximum of 4 people.These are very cool! I have a Thai friend that I showed it to, and she was extatic and wants to come cook on it. I haven't yet (I don't know what I am doing lol), but can't wait for her to show me how! Her and her husband had my wife and I over for Thai bbq and it was amazing! I can't wait to cook on it!Better than expected, and it's my new favorite way to cook!Never use electric one if you want delicious Thai bbq.Compared to my current grill, the overall quality seems to be lacking. It is not constructed as well.I brought this out at a camping trip, bbq at the house, and picnic, everyone loved it. I have been looking for a bigger size and can't find. So I may buy another one of these. I love it and the company I bought it from was great. It takes awhile to get here from overseas but well worth the wait. I forgot to mention it cleans up nicely as well.Great product. Wish they have some in bigger sizes for a large group.Bought this after going to thailand and trying out the hot pot. It's a little small but great for up to 2 people. Any more people involved in cooking and you'll have to get a bigger grill. I recommend keeping some hot charcoals nearby in case you need to heat up the grill as it loses heat after a while.
